Resources FIltering

In the calendar demo file, there’s a there’s a search field along with a list of Resources to check/uncheck to filter events accordingly on the calendar.  How can this be had on the calendar that I’ve setup in my file?  Everything is working along with resource value list created but I can find any documentation to duplicate similar feature that I see in the demo calendar.
