We use the location field (“Event::SiteName” in our solution) for filtering but we don’t require it be filled in when saving the event. If the url includes the “&SiteName=” clause there is no way to tell it to include events with a blank SiteName. Or perhaps a user wants to display only events where the SiteName was not entered.

Is there a way to use the location clause to tell the engine to include blank values?

I think you’d have to create a calculation and set it to some thing specific, like sitename_c=_blank_
